Over 140 Rainbows, Brownies, Guides and Rangers took part in Staines District Thinking Day event on Sunday 24th February at St Peter’s church.
The afternoon started with a brief service in the Church where all the members of the Guide movement in Staines renewed their promise and some new members made their promise for the first time. The theme of the afternoon was friendship.
The girls then moved on to the Church Hall and the party really started with games, a traditional party tea and a birthday cake complete with candles, blown out by the oldest Guide and youngest Rainbow.
Kathy Purdon, Joint District Commissioner for Staines, added “This has been a great afternoon with a high turnout from the whole Staines Guiding family and their leaders. “Thinking Day “ is our opportunity to think about the world wide Guiding movement and have some fun too!”
